Chinese Boxing: Essentials
This course will teach you how to defend your self against a bully on the street and teach you the 3 Key points that enable you to effectively defend your self on the street. You will learn the appropriate answers to the most common attacks, how to give your opponent a reason to stop attacking you and to effectively disengage to get out of a situation save.
In the first lesson, you will learn to have an answer for the most common street attacks. It is not enough to get out of the way and evade the incoming attacks. Eventually you will get hit. The key is to not get hit and interrupt the attacker immediately.
After you have interrupted the attack of your opponent, you need to follow up. In this lesson, you will learn how to give your opponent a reason to stop.
Now you have followed up, but the fight is not over. In this lesson, Ismet teaches you what to do when the opponent has his arms up for protection and how to create openings by trapping his hands for a split second.
The next step after perfecting the trapping hands is to go effortlessly into close range or clinch. You will not only learn how to flow through the guard of your opponent and deliver powerful strikes with your elbows, but also how to defend your self against incoming elbow attacks from the clinch.
In this lesson, you will learn a more advanced concept of delivering strikes from a close range distance. Next, you will be taught how to combine it with a jab in order to bridge the distance and then learn an exercise to strengthen your tendons.
The best moment to apply a joint lock is when your opponent does not think about it. In this lesson Ismet will teach you how to distract your opponent and how to apply various locks at the right moments of the fight.
Whoever is controlling the distance is controlling the fight. In this lesson, we make sure it is us and not the opponent. Distance management is the key element that enables us to stay in control of the fight.
We need to make our arms sensitive to the degree that we can feel the slightest intentions of our opponent. In this lesson, you will learn exercises to develop your sensitivity and reflexes to highest level. This will give you an edge over your opponent every time you touch hands.
How do we bring the fight to an end and get home safe. Here we will learn how to bring the opponent to the ground with a take down or a sweep, while we keep standing on our feet. In this last lesson, you will learn some unconventional techniques from Chinese Kung Fu styles you might never have seen before.
